Garlic---answer for intestinal parasites

Most common parasite is Giardia lamblia, usually come from drinking water. Symptoms caused by intestinal parasites are: abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, constipation. Eating flesh garlic in small amount twice a day will usually rid the children of the parasite within one week. Pumpkin seeds have similar effects.
Other functions of Garlic:
  • Lower LDL cholesterol.
  • Prevention against cold and fever. It actually can kill viruses which cause cold and influenza.

Food such as garlic, celery, yogurt, cucumber, clove, onion, cranberry, chilli pepper, plum, coconut, horseradish, banana, apple, nutmeg, cabbage, carrot, licorice, black mustard seeds, tea, wine,watermelom, have antibacterial activities. This is because they contain allerin(garlic), lactobacillus (yogurt) Eugenol (clove), Anthocyanates (Red wine)

How harmful is the salt ?

Extra salt causes heavy burden to the kidneys. Overuse of salt can cause a severe disease of the kidney called nephritis. It may also cause water retention and increased body weight. Salt is the main contributor of hypertension.

Do we need vitamins supplements ?

Unless those who are very deprive of food like in the poor countries, it may be necessary to supplement some vitamins and minerals. Usually it is not necessary to do so. The body can only efficiently utilise vitamins and minerals in the food that they come with. If they are isolated, it is very difficult for the body to assimilate. The extra minerals and vitamins will cause burden to the kidney and liver.
