Cold carbonated drinks may not be so cool after all (II)

A) Each 325ml carbonated drink contain 5.5-7.5 teaspoons of sugar.

  1. Each teaspoon contains 16 calories
  2. Daily allowable Intake by WHO of sugar is 8-11 teaspoons
  3. Extra sugar may increase risk of diabetes, skin problems .
  4. Sugar may be related to osteoporosis ,hypertension, liver and kidney diseases.

B) Diet soft drinks contain artificial sweeteners.

  1. One common sweetener is aspartame which may cause side effects such as migraine, memory loss, depression. It has been also linked to nausea, skin itching and blurring of vision
  2. The breakdown products of aspartame are potent agents for producing tumours in lab animals-- Professor John W. Olney.
  3. Other sweetener like saccharin is proven to cause bladder cancer.

C) Common soft drinks have PH of 2.1-3.7.

  1. It needs 32 glasses of high PH alkaline water to neutralize a glass of your favourite soft drink.
  2. The excess phosphorus from phosphoric acid offset the calcium-phosphorus balance. This will lead to osteoporosis.
  3. The phoshorus also fights with hydrochloric acid in the stomach causing it to be ineffective in the digestive function. This will lead to indigestion, bloating and gassiness.

D) Artificial flavouring will aggravate the conditions of hyperactive children.

E) Colouring like tartrazine (orange colour) was ban in Norway and Finland as it can cause allergic reactions like skin rashes, swelling running nose. It may be a possible cause of cancer.

Natural cure for diabetes

1) Bring down your body weight to the normal range through exercise, at least three times a week.

Milk aggravates ulcer

As contradicting to the traditional belief, milk may aggravate ulcer. This is because the byproducts of milk digestion is acidic. Banana is good for ulcer. It stimuluate cells to secrete more mucus to protect the lining of the stomach from the too acidic environment.

Milk is only good for the cow

Milk is not fit for human consumption, because it contain caesin, a component of protein. There are 300 % more caesin in cow milk than in human milk. Cold carbonated soft drink may not be so cool after all.

Carbonated soft drinks contain phosphoric acid, citric acid, malic acid, carbonic acids.
The citric acid and malic acid do not have the same properties as the natural ones present in the fruits. These are acidic and can cause PH imbalance in the body. The body has to release calcium from the bones to neutralize the extra acids. In the long run, this will lead to ostreoporosis. Soft drinks also contain high amount of sugar. High pure sugar content causes the body to crave for food as there are no other essential nutrients. This may cause an individual to become overweight. Some may even contain caffeine coal tar derivatives , which is carcogenic . When taken together with food, soft drinks can lead to fermentation instead of digestion in the body.

Excess water may not be good for you

Excess water may waterlog your tissue, cellular functions may be impaired also.
It can also reduce the capability of the blood to absorb and carry oxygen.
It will increase sweating and cause loss of energy.
Thirst is usually caused by excess salt ,spices, excessively processed and cooked food and also concentrated food.
Drink water when you feel thirsty only.
Distilled water is considered best, as the body will only absorb inorganic minerals. The minerals in the water will clog up the blood vessels together with cholesterol. It may also cause gallstones , kidney stones and arthritis.
Drink water ten minutes before each meal, and before having anything in the morning.
